The Art Dictionary; I’m not sure if this is worth much. Not a well designed website.

Liviu Mocan, a Romanian (from what I can tell) sculptor and a Christian. Following is a small image of his “Martyr (Song for Constantin Brancoveanu):”

About pcNielsen
Paul Nielsen founded The Aesthetic Elevator late in 2005. He owns a piece of paper, located somewhere in his house (not on the wall), stating that he earned a B.F.A. from the University of Nebraska around about 2001. While there, he studied studied architecture, graphic design and ceramics, graduating with a degree in studio art. Paul presently serves as communications manager for a small non-profit doing their print design and marketing. He spends as much time sculpting in his studio as possible — which is not nearly enough. Visit his website at pcNielsen.com.

TAE, for the record Liviu Mocan is a Christ follower and amazing sculptor in Romania. I will HIGHLY recommend a documentory produced by ViaAffirmativa. We were at the premere of the video in Minneapolis in June. I believe that the 2nd release is out now and available at http://www.viaaffirmativa.com . If you cannot get it that way let me know and I can get you the dvd. I believe they are $15-$19 or around there. (Funds will go to promote a new dvd in this series about artists and faith, I don’t know if we are supposed to release who the next documentory is about, but I can’t wait, as this person is an superb artist as well.) The Liviu Mocan 30 minute documentory is about his faith, work and life in Communist Romania and after the cold war. I LOVED this film and cannot say enough good about it. One of my favorite quotes is, “I am first a sculpture and then a sculptor.” Of course I am glad he is a sculptor.

I wouldn’t know where to look on the Via Affirmativa website. Do they have an online store I don’t know about?
